Thought that it would be a good idea to publish the fact that: yes, I am living in London now; and yes, it is permanent. Why publish this? Because there are lots of people who see me about once a week in London and still wonder if I enjoy flying back and forth between Helsinki and London...

At the same time might take the opportunity to mention my observations on the not-so-precise nature of English language. Or mayge it is not the language, but the people using it :) Anyways: you tell someone that the papers are in the second room on the left side of the corridor, on top of the shelf. And they most likely go to the first room on the right hand side and look for them on the table... Or claim that they have bought the car, when they actually brought it. - This makes communicating a challenge - but fortunately I do enjoy challenges. At the moment contemplating a set of picture cards ;)

And while we are checking the progress of the gentlemanly behaviour of the Bowler-hat & Umbrella -people against the rest of the world, I must say that the Danes are pulling ahead. Danes seem very natural about all those doors to open and space to give; who knows why? Back to index
